THE SONIC ARTSÂ OF GEORGE MATT BOWLES
George Matt Bowles is a multi disciplinary artist and musician focusing on new media and approaches to sound. Throughout his many projects and bands he treads sonic territory both new and familiar while adding a more musical approach to experimental noise; but adds a more raw sound to an era of music that has been largely dominated by ideas of musical perfection and conformity. Largely known as an improviser and prolificly in-the-moment, George has also worked on written material and more structure as well. While not being totally limited to improvised music and at the same time escaping traditional composition, he has gained many different approaches and sounds to free jazz, psychedelic music, experimental rock, and even noise and extreme metal. George's collaborations with other musicians can be heard in over 20 different bands over the years as well as several different solo projects.
